Spring Break

The kids and I spent a few days of spring break in Texas visiting family and friends.  We stayed with Grammy and Gramps for a few days while enjoying their great-grandmothers, as well.  Gramps bought an Easter egg-dying kit for the kiddos and they so enjoyed experimenting with different colors and designing with the additional "bling" that was included in the kit.  Grammy let the girls make their own brownies and Lizet cooked a lot with Grammy.  She is still saying she is Grammy's kitchen assistant.  She was just sorry she left her apron at home.  Uncle Eric enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephew and they think he's great, too.

At the end of our time, my parents dropped us off at Love Field to catch our flight to Tulsa.  The next few days were spent playing games, playing outside, watching movies, having McDonald's, and playing Play Station or Nintendo DS.  Although the kids find these things fun, they still play the piano.  In fact, the other day, Lizet composed her own song.

Dave also unveiled another surprise from his recent mission trip to Peru: DVDs of Al Fondo hay Sitio... 20 episodes each (he bought four, but will reveal them slowly).

We ended our break with a brief visit to Kansas to visit with their Grandma Marilyn and their great-grandparents.  On our way out of town, we stopped at what is now Xavier's favorite restaurant - Pichler's Chicken Annie's.  We told him it was good!
